Wow this video broke my heart. I was familiar with k-pop before watching your video, but I had never heard any of their songs or seen any music video clips until now.

I don't know if you are comfortable sharing this or not, so feel free not to answer, but can I ask what you, personally, do about music? I love music, but I haven't wanted to listen to music in a while. Maybe it's the Holy Spirit leading or protecting me, or maybe it's just me knowing what goes on in the music industry, Christian as well as secular, and not wanting to participate in it anymore. I'm not really sure. But if I do want to listen to music again in the future, I'm not sure what I would even listen to. So, if you feel comfortable sharing, I'd love to hear about what you do.

These topics are absolutely heart breaking. This was tough to make. I feel so sad for the folks involved as well as the fans not understanding how dangerous it all is.

thank you for your question! I’m glad you asked. Music was my life. Before Jesus I listened to music that definitely hurts my Spirit today and I also don’t have much to listen to. There are a few Christian artists I like, but very few (The Morrison Sisters for example).

As a writer, I love to write not only articles but also lyrics. I recently found a software that allows me to create music with my own lyrics and I want to find a way to share my music with others like us who love music, but want to glorify Jesus with what we listen to! Let me know some of your favorite genres and I’d love to be inspired to write something in that style :)

Thank you for your response! That is such a wonderful idea. I would love to hear your music one day! I used to write songs about Jesus all the time, and I played guitar for the music. But a jaw injury stopped me from being able to sing and a wrist injury stopped me from being able to play around 12 years ago. I miss it so much! I pray for the day I can get a custom guitar made with a super thin neck, so that my tiny hands won't have to be so strained to play, so that I can return to writing music. And praise God, I recently found an amazing doctor that has helped stabilize my jaw, and in time I should be able to sing again :)

As to the genres I like, I like a little bit of everything. But I'm a survivor of pretty severe abuse and have bad PTSD because of it, so I can pretty much only listen to more gentle music. A lot of music is designed to be stimulating, but that's usually too much for my body to handle. So anything that isn't especially stimulating is my favorite kind of music, if that makes sense? But I would love to listen to anything you make! I just wouldn't be able to listen as often if it's too stimulating for my nervous system.

Thank you so much for sharing your story and please know you’re in my prayers! Praise Jesus that you’ve found good doctors to help! And I also pray you’ll be able to play music again soon.

I definitely have some songs you might enjoy! But the majority of them are quite stimulating. So I completely understand if you want to skip most of them!

May God continue to heal you and give you hope for complete healing in His arms! I have C-PTSD and ironically stimulating music actually helps me. Isn’t it wild how different we all can be? You’re in my prayers my friend and I love the ideas the others here have suggested with older hymns - those are incredibly beautiful! God bless you and protect you always.

Thank you, Alexandra, your prayers and encouragement mean so much. I'm sorry to hear that you also have C-PTSD...I know such a diagnosis does not come without real pain and suffering in one's past, and I wish you didn't have to understand C-PTSD in such a personal way. But I'm so thankful you have Jesus to help bear every weight. You will be in my prayers as well. You already have been, but now more specifically.

That really is ironic about stimulating music helping you! I love it; I love that people have so many differences, yet we are all wonderfully made by the same creator. It brings me so much joy to think about!

Oh, and my husband loves stimulating music, so anything I have to skip he will most likely absolutely love :P

*hugs* Thank you so much. I'm so sorry for you as well, and I just-raise God that He is faithful and He promises us a day with no more pain or sorrow. Trauma truly just makes me cling to Jesus more and know that His love is perfect and He is the healer of all things. I'm with you on this narrow road and your in my prayers. I appreciate your prayers more than you know! I truly hope there will be fun songs for both you and your husband to enjoy. The software I use allows me to create many different voices to match the genre as well, so I know there will be something for everyone. ^-^

I have been learning recently about what "brokenhearted" means in scripture. How the Hebrew word for "heart" encompasses a person's thoughts, will, and emotions, and so when God talks about broken hearts, and being the healer of them, he's talking about deep traumas, the soul fracturing (don't know if "soul" is the right word here, I'm still new in my studying of this topic) kind, too.

I haven't studied this long enough to share it confidentially with anyone, so I apologize in advance if I've gotten things wrong in this short explanation, but what I've been learning has been so encouraging and hopeful that I just wanted to mention it to you. *Hugs* Alexandra.

I'm sorry that you have C-PTSD :( I didn't know.

I can't even imagine how hard it must be; thank you for sharing, I'm happy that you found strength and guidance in Jesus.

That's true, His true love heals everything.

You are in my prayers, God bless you!

Hi C.S. I pray that you will continue your recovery and that you will find peace in the Lord.

Personally, I find the old church hymns to be extremely comforting. They are full of sound biblical doctrine, and are in a style that soothes rather than stimulates. For me, they also take me back to my childhood, growing up in the church from my youngest years.

A couple references that you might explore ... a few days ago I found this video that I really like called Old Hymns (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rrce9P311nU). Not sure what else is on that channel, but that video is about 8 hours straight of some wonderful songs.

Anther is an album that I listen to almost every day. It's called "I Surrender All," by Carman. It's a collection of 30 hymns, arranged into 15 medleys. Here's a link, if you're interested (https://a.co/d/h4yFSQT). I'd also recommend any of Carman's albums. He has a lot of faster songs, but also a great many slower more soothing songs, all of which I find to be biblically sound and uplifting and Christ-centered.

He was a big influence in my teen years back in the 80's, and I've recently "rediscovered" his music and am so glad I did. He went home to be with the Lord back in 2021, but his lifetime of music and service to the Lord is still bearing fruit for the kingdom.

He's actually one of the very very few artists / acts that I listen to. Like many here, I also have only a very small collection of music that I have found to be true to the Lord and genuinely inspired by the Holy Spirit.

Thank you, Richard for your prayers, your kind words, and for taking the time to leave me suggestions of music! I appreciate that so much. I used to listen to hymns all the time, so thank you for encouraging me to return to them. I'm listening to that link of hymns now :)

I get where you're coming from. I would encourage you to remember though that God created music. The enemy can only corrupt and counterfeit God's true music. Also, we're going to be spending eternity singing before the throne of God. ... One other recommendation I have for people in general is to fall in love with the Psalms. The guy that ran the warehouse I used to work at was a mason. His daughter was obsessed with this here K-Pop stuff. I never looked into it but I knew something wasn't right. Thanks for putting the work in for me. Great work as always from my favorite christian detective!

While we're on the topic of music, I recently briefly became involved with a charismatic woman into "elevation worship" music. I met her friends and other members of her local church and the music seems to be very important to their worship. My classical christian choir music that I often listen to seemed to be off putting to them. I acquired tickets to one of their events at her request and found them really expensive. God revealed the associated Steven Furtick pastor to be leading many astray and I wish I was aware sooner.

Anyhow, if you are looking for something to dig into music related I discerned emotions were being leveraged by these guys to take people off the narrow path. Quite concerning given my niece freaked out with excitement when she learned I have tickets to this event and I am no longer speaking with the woman that had me get them.

Keep up the good work sister. God is watching.

Thank you for your thoughts! And wow, all you said about Elevation brought back some memories! I’ve looked into it quite a bit, even knew someone who can confirm they removed the name “Jesus” from the “eKids” children program for a time. I’ve heard lots of allegations but they do follow the “Hillsong” model and with all of those scandals I wouldn’t be surprised with what Elevation may be involved in. Any church making $108 million per year should be investigated.

Spencer Smith on YouTube has videos exploring the heresy of Elevation and its pastor’s unbiblical beliefs. Their own logo is the square that is present on the podium of Masonic Lodges!! So glad the Father got you out of there. Let’s pray for others deceived by the wolves in sheep’s clothing. 🙏

I can totally relate! Having been raised in a family that loved music, I have listened to music for seemingly all 60 of my years. It has recently come to my attention that even Christian rock music is not a good thing, so I now listen to Classical music. There’s some that’s boring, but there’s also some Classical music that is amazing! Personally, I’ve been really into the London Symphony Orchestra, and really totally liking everything I hear from the Vienna Philharmonic.

I'm glad you've been able to find some instrumental music you enjoy! It's so sad that much of Christian music is made by folks who truly do not know or love Jesus Christ. I don't like to condemn genres, but instead the musicians behind the music. It might be worth looking into if your state has any local Christian bands as well, you might be able to find some folks who truly love God and just want to praise Him.

Hi Dave. That's actually a really great point about classical music. There are a lot more choices than what we typically tend to listen to.

Personally, I love Beethoven's 9th symphony. Well, all of them really, but the 9th is especially good.

I also spent several years in the Russian Orthodox Church, and I came to love the Octoechos, the system used in Byzantine chants. It's a real experience to listen to the Psalms being sung in Old Church Slavonic in the way they've been sung for a thousand years.

Another example is we used to go to a local college and listen to live chamber music. That was always a favorite.

The structure of the K-Pop training system reminds me of something I read a long time ago; that Michael Jackson's dad was involved in a CIA experiment via The Jackson 5, testing the hypothesis that one can basically abuse 'talent' into children.

Good info in this one. I hope young ones will get this info so they see how corrupt the world music is. I especially think the physical abuse you showed needs to be highlighted more in the mainstream. Thankfully, I left all the ties I had to fleshly music behind. I used to have a huge record collection with rare albums etc. It was a snare. For some reason growing up I formed an attachment to music and collecting records, I somehow thought there was some comfort or wisdom in lyrics and artists. When I turned around and repented I started to see the wickedness in the industry. It took a while but I got rid of my records. I did not listen to music for a while and fight to this day not to allow tunes to play in my head, rather I now have found some truly spiritual songs that bring true peace and wisdom. They are all based in nearly word for word scripture and Psalms. I would recommend James Block, here is one on Unity of His people. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xpG8ZDjY8i8 also Sons of Korah https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8yUcC93khzU. Here's an interesting song from his last album-"P2-Last Saturday Night." where George calls out the Vatican--big time. He died soon after. BTW--he is one of my favorite musicians of all time--Tavistock Institute aside. I grew up in the 1960's. Please pay attention to the lyrics. His 1st #1 hit was My Sweet Lord ion 1970 before you were born.---not My Sweet Swami. "You can see Jesus" in the lyrics on more than one song.

God Bless you Alexandra for all you do cause we're gonna need Christ right quick to get thru whats about to hit. I'm surrounded by Pagans and it's absolutely frightening. The Clot Shot has removed their empathy among other things. Remember when CERN "found" the "God Particle"? I believe they used it to target Spiritualism in most people and remove it via the Jab. It wasn't until I saw Jaejoong from DBSK/TVXQ with a very obvious new triangle tattoo, then later some *interesting* symbols painted on his torso for JYJ concerts that I began paying more attention.

I just finished the video. You covered the industry's darkness very well. The topics you covered took me back. The "unaliving" of certain idols had me feeling like something was off, but it's easy to chalk it up to depression and stress. Funny how that's a convenient excuse.

In other darkness: I personally wonder about Seungri's trafficking ties, and whether or not that was all him, or if he simply got caught doing something for higher ups. He only got 3 years in jail for it though.

Fun fact: I drive by that OC black cube almost every weekend. Is it wrong to want to pray that God strike it with lightning? lol

The fact he got such a short sentence he very well could have been a “fall guy” and just got caught. I don’t believe these systems operate alone.

Honestly, I never have bought into any fandom. I always appreciate music, art, stories -- but I rarely "dive in" to anything. I'm very selective about every form of entertainment now. I enjoy nerdy things, been a bit of an "otaku," and enjoyed high fantasy literature. I have dropped things over the years, based on what God's led me to discover the truth on.

Through most of my life, I've been someone who sees beyond the surface. While I'm grateful that God keeps me aware & vigilant, knowing "too much" can still wear me down. Sometimes it feels like I can't relax. And I can't say I've ever had a godly friend group. The enemy has sent too many my way with Jezebel spirits (and even an Absalom!). I wonder if anybody else struggles with this, I recently have had extreme OCD about freemasonry and have been searching up my favorite pastors and musician and Christian figures that I’ve know for years, and putting Freemason or exposed videos for those individuals because I want to see if there’s anything there. For the most part, there hasn’t been anything that I’ve found with most of the individuals if I’m not mistaken. I did see some videos with the only 2 pastors I listed to. There was some video claiming to “expose” them being Freemasons with supposed hand signs thats they briefly made or certain things they said. The channels themselves have very low subs and quality and mimic troll channels or channels who entire content is to “expose” people. This behavior is extremely unhealthy and I have stopped listening to those pastors because of that and have not consistently listed to Sermons in a while. My life is spiraling downhill and it makes it worse when your not sure who you can trust(I know you can trust Jesus) and making you re think everything, so you just don’t listen to it at all, which is something I need right now. It also applies to certain Christian apologists who might have interacted with individuals who interacted with other individuals who are/are likely Freemasons, and my mind leads me to draw that string of connections to doubt the Christian apologist in general. This just leads my to question much of what I’ve learned over the years and is making life really hard lately. Any advice ?

Expand full comment

Hey friend. Thanks for reaching out. I understand your concerns and struggles with trust, but I believe it’s important to focus on nurturing your own relationship with God and His word, rather than being overly fixated on external factors and potential conspiracies. While it’s good to be discerning, remember that we’re called to test everything against Scripture, not against unverified claims or speculation.

Instead of spending too much time online searching for controversies, I encourage you to invest more time in the Bible, prayer, and fellowship with trusted believers. If you don’t have any, I encourage you to pray and ask God to send you people you can trust or lead you where He wants you to go. This will strengthen your foundation in Christ and help you develop a more balanced perspective. Remember that no pastor, musician, or apologist is perfect; they are human like us and may make mistakes or have different associations. However, that doesn’t necessarily invalidate their ministry or teachings if they’re grounded in Scripture. Interestingly, the folks who have tried to take me down by “exposing me” have been traced back to Masonic lodges. Some even had multiple fake accounts to cover their association with a group that gets paid to attack people talking unfavorably about Masonry.

I encourage you to trust the Holy Spirit and your discernment and weigh things out yourself against Scripture. Don’t be influenced by the opinions of others who may have their own agenda too.

The logical fallacy you might be experiencing is called "guilt by association," where you’re drawing connections and assuming guilt based on interactions or affiliations, without substantial evidence. It’s crucial to be aware of this and focus on the substance of the teachings rather than the perceived or rumored connections. Come to your own conclusions and don’t let comments or endless opinions form yours for you. To encourage you, I'll suggest this channel that may bring some comfort to you: He and I disagree on many topics, but I still appreciate his care and desire to help Christians be aware of the things of this world. https://www.youtube.com/@spencersmith312

Also, please take care of yourself. I encourage you to focus on your health. Make sure you’re getting out in the sun and moving your body. Get enough sleep and eat a healthy diet. Find some hobbies unrelated to research and make sure to spend time doing things you love to help your brain rebalance. It’ll be ok.

Don’t let these doubts and fears pull you away from your faith. Spend time in God’s word, and ask for guidance to navigate these challenges. I’d also suggest reading the book of James. Remember that our ultimate trust should be in God, who is faithful and unchanging, rather than in any human being or institution.

Praying for you. 🙏🕊️

I hate bother y'all again my beautiful friend but I need to share this. Y'all may or maybe not know but my People are of American Indian decent--(Mohawk in my case--Kahna'wake). My Daddy loved this country (USA) til the day he died-and he wasn't even American. (He was a Canadian Indian). He had no hatred for this country--

Pardon my verbosity and I'll get to my point--another song from the 1960's which tells us where we're headed (or not). Please listen to the lyrics--it's a mirror of today--When I mentioned this to my Daddy before he went to be with our Lord,--he said this:--"Our people have been thru this before..".and shook his head in sadness. The ruler, yes the ruler of this world is the satan. Music/rhythm is his heartbeat. True spiritual worship which is Within us is the heartbeat/rhythm of Heaven. The satan has twisted, perverted EVERY thing of Heaven to earth. Christian "music" is no different than K-Pop. Christian music is the deception in compromise; walking beside the Promises not walking "In" the promises.

Expand full comment

It's truly so sad to see even Christian artists sing about things that are unbiblical. Elevation worship recently released an album with alchemical artwork and symbolism for example. We can' be too surprised - with a lot of money will come Mammon!

Expand full comment

The simplest way to approach music is this: remember the Inconvenient Reality video. There are different "brothermen" branches that target each societal organization -- including music, which is "illuminating," if you get me. That includes worship music. I'm very aware of which celeb "ministers" are actually plants (the Billy Graham had a SRA victim come out) as well as false Christian music artists like Michael W Smith, Amy Grant. Heck, even Gaither. Southern Gospel's community is filled with cheaters and swingers. I know people who have ties to the more godly bands who tour.

Also, Jesus took back dominion over Earth, through His resurrection, so satan does not in fact rule the world. Music came from God, not satan. Like with everything else, satan immitates & corrupts. Don't give the enemy more credit then they're worth, but acknowledge them as a dangerous adversary. I find that too many Christians focus too much on how big & bad the enemy is instead of remembering God's authority (not just power) over the universe.

Expand full comment

What passes as Christian music today definitely bears the marks of being influenced and even controlled by the enemy. I would be extremely wary of any of it, although I don't doubt that God still has his faithful remnant in the mix there, shining his true light. Remember Elijah! ... I don't fully understand the rest of what you're saying about rhythm and heartbeat and whatnot. I know that God created music and uses it for His glory, and I know that no matter how much the enemy tries to corrupt and counterfeit it, he will never be able to thwart God's will. Also, even though the devil does in many ways rule in the world, we as true followers of Jesus are not of this world, and therefore are not under the authority of the enemy. ... All that to say that I know for a fact that there is wonderful music created by true believers that glorifies God and is beneficial for us. The Lord inhabits the praise of His people. We're even directly commanded in scripture to sing, etc. I could go on but I won't because I probably missed your main point. Just wanted to throw this into the mix. Blessings to you!

I'll watch this soon. I'm sure it will be great. Thankfully, I'm a bit too old for this also. And even more thankfully, my 16 yo daughter thinks kpop is old fashioned and not at all cool anymore. Go figure! That list of reference links is a bit intimidating, but I'll take a stab at a few and see how far I get.

Thank you my fellow investigator! Thank God your daughter is not ensnared with this musical spell! You’ve been raising her to love the right things. As for the references, don’t worry about it! The video covers it all, but if anyone wanted to know where I acquired the info I reported on it’s all here. God bless!

Thanks! I've watched the video now, and I must say it's excellent. It made me think of your other research on Edward Bernays and how it seems that most of everything that we think we know is really just the result of mass scale social programming.

Understanding this makes it so clear why following Jesus is so crucial. He's the only way out of the system, the machine, the lie of dualism, the dialectic.

I remember seeing the news stories about BTS going to the White House. I didn't really know what to make of it at the time. Wondering if you could elaborate on your thoughts about that.

Thank you my friend! I agree. That’s why I make these videos - to try to help a few folks get on fire for Jesus and leave the things of the world. Yes I remember when BTS was invited to the White House - they also spoke at the UN and promoted the v*ccines. Talk about agents of propaganda! A whole section I wasn’t able to include for time involves BTS’ ties to a strange ‘cult’ called Dahn World! It just kept getting stranger so I had to call it a day at some point.

Thank you for your insights. I am praying for you. You are doing such a wonderful work for the Lord. I pray that you will find peace in the Holy Spirit. Your service to the Lord has been such a great blessing to the body of Christ. Please don't let the enemy's flaming arrows stop you from doing the work of the Father. Personally, I can say that your work has helped me draw nearer to the Lord, and for that I am eternally thankful to you, my dear sister. May the peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.

I just finished it! As always so well researched and thoroughly resourced! It’s amazing to me how I can discuss things from permaculture to glyphosate, churches to the brotherhood network and still couldn’t pick a Kardashian out of a line up or have any idea that this was even a thing… I suppose the expression ignorance is bliss didn’t come from no where.

Praying for you regularly my friend and praising Yah for you!

Thank you!! I appreciate your support and prayers more than you know. There’s always a new avenue the powers that should not be use to influence the masses and take them away from God it seems. Let’s pray for folks to get out of the hood celebrities have on their lives! You’re in my prayers too my friend!

This community is for uplift and encouragement in the spirit of 1 Corinthians 14:26. Myself and others explained why your comment was inappropriate. Jesus teaches us to bear each others burdens and show empathy and brushing us off to ‘worry about better things’ is hurtful. You’re still welcome here, but due to posting, editing and deleting comments rapidly Substack will place a ban on comments for a time. Thank you.
